Beta Privacy Notice (Alien Monke Beta Test)
Effective Date: March 26, 2026
This Beta Privacy Notice (“Beta Notice”) applies when you participate in the Alien Monke beta test (the “Beta”). It supplements the Privacy Policy and Notice at Collection (Alien Monke) (“Main Privacy Policy”). If there is any conflict, this Beta Notice controls for Beta-only processing.
Controller: Binary Echo Studio (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Pavel Tsenev (Batumi, Georgia).

1. What this Beta Notice covers
This Beta Notice explains how we handle information during the Beta, including:
- manual video + voice recording of Beta sessions (recorded by us using the LIV tool inside the Game),
- app logs collected for debugging,
- your Meta Horizon account email to grant Beta access,
- use of some recordings for promotional materials (e.g., TikTok and other social media), with limitations described below.
2. Information we collect for the Beta
A) Meta Horizon account email (Beta access)
We collect your Meta Horizon account email to:
- verify your eligibility for Beta access (invites/whitelisting), and
- communicate about Beta access if needed.
B) Manual session recordings (video + voice)
During scheduled or arranged Beta sessions, we may record video and voice of your gameplay session. These recordings may capture:
- your in-game voice chat audio (your voice),
- in-game events and visuals (video),
- your in-game identifiers visible in the session (for example, an in-game name or platform identifier shown in-game).
Important:
- These are manual sessions we record (not continuous background recording of all users).
- You can decline to be recorded and still participate in other forms of Beta feedback where offered (for example, written feedback), or you can withdraw from the Beta entirely.
C) App logs (debug data)
We collect app logs to debug and improve the Beta build. Logs may include:
- technical diagnostics (errors, crashes, performance),
- device/app version information,
- session/network events (including IP address as part of normal network communications),
- identifiers necessary to correlate logs with a test session.
D) Feedback and communications
If you provide Beta feedback (for example, by email or other channels we provide), we process the content you submit (messages, bug reports, attachments).
If you join a third-party community channel (e.g., Discord) for Beta coordination, that platform processes your data under its own policies. We will only process what you choose to send to us through that channel (for example, messages, bug reports, and attachments).
3. How we use Beta information
We use Beta information to:
- grant and manage Beta access (Meta Horizon email),
- debug issues (video/voice recordings and app logs),
- improve gameplay and stability (analysis of bugs, balancing, performance),
- produce promotional materials (where you explicitly consent), such as short gameplay clips posted on TikTok and other social media.
Promotional materials rules (voice not used)
If we use Beta recordings for promotional materials:
- we will not use your voice audio in published marketing content,
- we may use gameplay video (visuals) from the recording,
- we will not publish your Meta email address,
- we will avoid including identifying information beyond what is naturally visible in gameplay, and we can blur/remove identifiers where reasonably possible.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK and similar jurisdictions)
Where applicable laws require a lawful basis:
- Consent:
- recording your Beta session (video + voice), and
- using gameplay clips from Beta recordings in promotional materials.
- Legitimate interests (general bug logs and diagnostics):
- collecting and analyzing app logs and related technical diagnostics to keep the Beta functional, secure, and stable.
You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8).
5. Who receives Beta information
Binary Echo Studio receives and uses Beta information internally for the purposes above. We do not sell Beta information.
Service providers may be involved to operate the Game and infrastructure (as described in the Main Privacy Policy). For promotional posting:
- if we publish a clip on social media platforms (e.g., TikTok), those platforms process the published content under their own terms and policies.
6. Retention
- Beta recordings (video + voice) and app logs: retained for 30 days, then deleted or de-identified, unless an exception below applies.
- Marketing materials exception: if a recording (or a clip derived from it) is used in marketing materials, we may retain the relevant recording/clip indefinitely to maintain the promotional asset library and document permissions.
If content is posted publicly, copies may persist outside our control (for example, reposts, shares, caches, or third-party archiving).
7. Your choices during the Beta
You can:
- choose not to participate in recorded sessions,
- choose not to consent to marketing use,
- request access/deletion (where applicable), and
- withdraw from the Beta.
8. How to withdraw consent or leave the Beta
To withdraw consent (recording and/or marketing use) or leave the Beta, email: support@binaryecho.studio
Withdrawing consent:
- stops future recording and/or future marketing use of your content,
- does not affect processing that already occurred before withdrawal,
- and may not allow complete removal of content already published publicly (we will remove what we control where reasonably possible).
