Quick Notice at Collection (Summary)

What we collect

We collect and/or receive the following categories of information:

  • Meta User ID / platform identifiers (to operate the Game and enforce rules)
  • SupportID (an in-game support identifier stored in PlayFab and shown inside the Game)
  • In-app purchase and/or downloadable content entitlement information from Meta (to deliver purchased content and restore access)
  • Gameplay & multiplayer session data needed for real-time multiplayer VR (e.g., room/session identifiers and in-session avatar/movement state)
  • Technical & connection data needed to run multiplayer and keep the Service secure (e.g., IP address, session identifiers, timestamps, server/network logs)
  • LIV Camera Kit (“LCK”) telemetry and related technical/usage data when the LIV SDK is active/initialized in the Game (for example, when LIV recording/streaming/photo/camera functionality is enabled/available)
  • Moderation and safety data (e.g., reports, enforcement actions like bans, and identifiers needed to apply penalties)
  • Support communications (only if you contact us)

Additional for Beta participants (if you join a Beta):

  • Meta Horizon account email to provide Beta access (invites/whitelisting)
  • manual session recordings (video + voice) for debugging (recorded by us using the LIV tool inside the Game)
  • app logs collected for debugging

Voice features (Photon Voice)

If you use in-game voice chat, microphone audio is captured on your device and transmitted in real time via Photon Voice so you can communicate. We do not record or store voice audio.

Photon and other providers may process service metadata (for example, connection identifiers) to operate the service under their own policies and agreements.

Beta recordings and marketing

If you join a Beta, we may record gameplay video and voice during manual test sessions if you consent. With separate consent, we may use gameplay video in promotional materials (e.g., TikTok and other social media). Voice will not be used in published marketing materials. See the Beta Privacy Notice for details.

How we use it

  • Provide core gameplay, matchmaking, multiplayer, and voice chat
  • Deliver purchases and restore entitlements
  • Provide optional recording, streaming, camera, and photo-related features that use LIV Camera Kit
  • Maintain safety, prevent abuse/cheating, and enforce rules (including bans)
  • Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
  • Beta: grant Beta access, debug issues using recordings/logs, and (with consent) create promotional materials

Who we share it with (service providers)

  • Meta (platform provider; store entitlements and platform services)
  • Photon (Exit Games) (multiplayer networking + real-time voice transport)
  • Microsoft Azure PlayFab (backend services, SupportID storage, moderation/enforcement workflows)
  • LIV Inc. (optional recording/streaming/camera/photo features and related telemetry, if enabled/available)

If we publish promotional materials, social media platforms process published content under their own terms/policies.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, enforce rules, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with law, and for other legitimate purposes described in this Policy.

Beta retention is described in the Beta Privacy Notice (generally 30 days, except marketing materials).

Your choices

  • You can choose whether to use voice chat and other optional features (if available).
  • You can request deletion or other rights, depending on your location (see Section 10).
  • Beta participants can withdraw consent by emailing support@binaryecho.studio.
